If you've been shopping for new floors, you already know the drill: you want something waterproof, durable, and good-looking - without spending a fortune or hiring a contractor.
Shaw Endura Plus LVP checks all three boxes, and then some.
With a 12 mil wear layer, full-depth waterproof construction, an attached EVA pad underlayment, and a click-lock system that makes DIY installation genuinely approachable, Endura Plus is one of the most well-rounded LVP options in its price range.
Here's everything you need to know before you buy.
What is Shaw Endura Plus LVP
Shaw Endura Plus is part of the Shaw Floorté Pro line - Shaw's premium residential LVP category. It's a rigid core (SPC) luxury vinyl plank, meaning it has a stone-plastic composite core that resists denting, flexing, and moisture far better than older flexible vinyl products.
At 4.8mm total thickness with a 12 mil wear layer, this flooring is a solid mid-range spec that balances durability and value. For context, entry-level LVP typically ships with 6–8 mil wear layers, so 12 mil puts Endura Plus comfortably above the baseline. Shaw's Endura Plus offers meaningfully better scratch resistance and a longer lifespan for busy households.
The ArmourBead® finish provides enhanced surface protection, and the micro bevel edge gives each plank a defined, realistic wood-look profile.
The click-lock floating installation system means no glue, no nails, and no special tools. It goes down over most existing subfloors and can typically be completed in a weekend.

Why Choose Shaw Endura Plus LVP?
The Endura Plus collection offers the unbeatable combination of style, performance, and affordability, making it a smart investment for your home.
Truly Waterproof — Not Just Water-Resistant
Endura Plus uses a full-depth waterproof core, not just a surface treatment. That means spills, pet accidents, and humidity can't penetrate and damage the floor from below.
This makes it a strong choice for kitchens, bathrooms, mudrooms, and basements.
The product is rated for above, on, and below grade installation, making it one of the few LVP options fully approved for basement use.
12 Mil Wear Layer: Built for Real Life
Endura Plus offers a 12 mil wear layer — well above the 6–8 mil found on entry-level products.
This means better scratch resistance from pets, furniture, and daily traffic, and a longer-lasting floor overall.
Styles to Match Your Space
Endura Plus comes in many colors ranging from warm, rustic wood tones to cool, contemporary grays.
Whether you're going for a farmhouse aesthetic or a modern minimalist look, there's an option in this collection that fits.
DIY-Friendly Click-Lock Installation
No adhesives. No complicated tools. The click-lock system snaps planks together cleanly, and most homeowners can complete an average room in a few hours.
This also means it can be floated over many existing subfloors, saving time and demo costs.
Shaw Endura Plus LVP: Colors to Complement Any Style
Choosing the right color sets the entire tone of a room. The Shaw Endura Plus collection covers a wide range:
- Warm browns and honeys — ideal for traditional, farmhouse, or cozy living spaces
- Cool grays and ash tones — perfect for modern, Scandinavian, or open-concept layouts
- Mid-tone naturals — the most versatile option, works with nearly any furniture palette
Popular styles include Wild Dunes, Amber Oak, and several gray-toned options that have become go-to picks for contemporary renovations.

How to Install Shaw Endura Plus LVP
Shaw Endura Plus LVP features a convenient click-lock system that makes installation quick and hassle-free.
No need for messy adhesives or complicated tools—simply click the planks into place and enjoy your new floors in no time.
General Steps:
1) Prepare the Subfloor
The subfloor must be clean, dry, and flat (within 3/16" over 10 feet). Remove any existing flooring and fix uneven spots. Endura Plus can be installed over concrete, plywood, and most existing hard surfaces.
2) Acclimate the Flooring (48 hours)
Leave the planks in the room where they'll be installed for at least 48 hours. This allows the material to adjust to the temperature and humidity of the space, preventing gaps or buckling after installation.
3) Plan Your Layout
Dry-lay a few rows before you start. Aim for a staggered joint pattern with at least 6" between end joints in adjacent rows. Plan your starting row so you don't end with a very narrow strip on either wall.
4) Install with Expansion Gap
Start from the left wall, using 1/4" spacers along all walls to maintain an expansion gap. This is critical — LVP expands and contracts with temperature, and without the gap, the floor can buckle.
5) Click the Planks Together
Angle each plank at about 45° and press down to engage the click-lock. Use a tapping block and rubber mallet to close any gaps between planks. Do not strike planks directly with a hammer.
6) Cut Around Obstacles
Use a miter saw, jigsaw, or vinyl cutter to trim planks around doorframes, vents, and corners. Score-and-snap also works for straight cuts.
7) Finish with Trim and Transitions
Once all planks are down, remove spacers and install baseboards or quarter-round molding to cover the expansion gap. Add transition strips at doorways and where the floor meets other flooring types.
IMPORTANT
These are general steps. Always follow Shaw's official installation instructions for your specific product. If you're not confident in DIY installation, a professional installer can typically complete an average room in a few hours.
